BRIEF:

Barstool Sports tasked us with creating a 3D motion graphics package to be used in the 2022 Arizona Bowl broadcast. This was actually a part of a larger graphics package that we created for all of Barstools’, quickly growing, live sports broadcast roster.

Overall, the goal was to create a package that visually represented the Barstool Sports’ brand. With this, came the idea of taking the stars from Barstool’s logo and having them each represent a different sport. Finally, they would all come together to form the Barstool Sports logo in the final scene of the animation.

However, the package also had to be customized for the specific live broadcast that it was being used in. As a solution, we customized each final scene to feature details about the event being broadcasted and the event logo. In this case, the final scene featured the Arizona Bowl logo hovering in a fun, Arizona-inspired, desert 3D scene. We then carried this desert theme over into the rest of the graphics package elements.

Needless to say, we are stoked to have had another opportunity to partner with the team Barstool team in creating this epic motion graphics package.

• Art Direction: Visual style development and creative oversight.

• CAD Asset Prep: File preparation and custom photoreal texturing.

• 3D Design: Scene set-up and cinematic lighting.

• 3D Animation: Camera movement, product animation, and shot transitions.

• Rendering & Post: Processing the 3D animation, final edit, compositing, and sound design.

• Toolkitting: Creating editable After Effects templates to be used by interal edit teams.
